Description
Bat in Rose Bush – is a pencil sketch on a paper a study of a little cute bat from series of animal art and flower art.
I find animal art fascinating, all kind of animal art of all animals, birds and bugs, because they speak. Partially because they are either cute or lovely either magnificent or beautiful. But also because what they say with their looks. We humans also speak and express ourselves with our looks and not only sounds and words, but in case of animals it is different and it is more. It is the main way they speak with us, and because of that often animal eyes and expressions say more than ours despite how sophisticated we could be. The trials to capture these expressions are really one of the best experiences.
With flowers I struggle. For me the reason to love painting flowers is the same as the one that makes them so difficult to paint, and the same what makes flowers so beautiful. The reason is the tenderness of the flower leafs, fragility of their wavy facture. Poppies are my favorite mainly because of their beautiful blood red color.
This art piece displays an image of a bat hanging upside down and chilling in a rose brush, getting ready for dusk and his time.
