Description
QyamMerde - is a mythical creature leaving in high Svaneti mountains of Georgia, I have heard about this creature spring 2019, it is Georgian equivalent of a Snowman.
This mythical creature has terrified one of the highest settled villages in the world for centuries. The name of the village is Ushguli, the most beautiful place to visit, but also difficult, and because of this remoteness from the rest of the world, the place is full of mystery.
Locals believe in this creature: QyamMerde - and they do not love to talk about it, and there is a road coming to that village, and it is forbidden to walk on this road after dusk, because of its QyamMerde hunting time. And once one sees Qyammerde it either dies on that road or suffers the terror of what has been seen to the rest of this/her life.
Unlike classical Ety Snow Man - QyamMerde is not only a snowman that looks scary, but it is also an evil spirit and magical powers to reveal your sins and torture with them your soul for the rest of time.
I was so taken away with the story, and how much locals believe in it, that I could not hold it in myself and have put the creature on canvas, to capture it, to make sure that it will not capture me.
